The Woman Behind the Questions

Elena is an entrepreneur, negotiator, human behavior and HR advisor, and energetic, curious conversationalist with more than 37 years of experience working with people, business, conflict, communication, money, and relationships.

Her curiosity began at age five through conversations with her grandfather, who challenged her to think beyond the obvious, understand mathematics, explore business, and become fascinated by how people think. That curiosity has stayed with her throughout her life.

Born in Mexico, Elena moved to San Diego and built her professional life from the ground up. She went on to create United Payroll & HR Services, The Alternative HR Solution, and Elena Sophia Life Balance, developing extensive experience in HR, negotiation, conflict resolution, leadership, communication, and human behavior.

She has studied with experts including Dr. John Demartini, former FBI negotiator Chris Voss, former CIA officer Andrew Bustamante, and biotype expert Rodrigo García Platas.

Today, Elena is fascinated by one simple question: Why do people do what they do? Why can two people experience the same situation and see it completely differently? Why do we repeat patterns in relationships? And why can someone have a successful life on the outside while feeling something is missing inside?

 She is also the host of Intimate Conversations with Men About Life, Love & Sex, exploring relationships, masculinity, intimacy, communication, health, leadership, sexuality, and fulfillment.

 As a guest, Elena is dynamic, enthusiastic, authentic, and deeply engaged. She brings energy, curiosity, warmth, and the courage to ask the questions people often think about but rarely say out loud.
